Good Morning from sunny Provo, Utah!
Lou's night was good. He rested well, as well as can be expected, and seems to be bouncing back from the initial chaos and settling in to the routine of tests, specialists, poking and prodding.
(Forgive me if I repeat information as I am not re-reading previous posts but shooting from the hip).
As ever, one step forward, two steps back. Louis has developed what looks like pre-pneumonia which we will be attacking with antibiotics. This adds a bit of challenge to his work to regain better lung function following the collapse of his left lung. For those of you who don't know Lou well, he has asthma (which makes what he does and how he does it all the more amazing to me) and is already prone to respiratory infections, so this is not all that surprising. One step forward, two steps back. Feels like we are dancing!
He has been unable to eat anything and drinking has posed a challenge due to swallowing difficulty from, what I assume, is the swelling in his neck so this morning we added a feeding tube to the plethora of assaults on his body. Hopefully this will give him some tools for healing as opposed to reducing his strength. Louis weathers all of this with courage, and frequent humor (even through the cocktails continually running through his system).
Greg Steele has been kind enough to set up a visitation schedule and the link is below.

Once again, I encourage you to keep sending your texts, posts and love. Trust that it is being received.
